Tata Motors has Debuted the New Magic EV at ongoing Auto Expo 2023, allowing Tata Motors to further expand its EV mobility range. The 10 seater Magic EV could be used for multiple purposes like the ambulance, school van and as a light weight commercial vehicle. The EV is based on the Tata Ace, a successful commercial vehicle in the passenger segment. The Magic EV is another step towards green mobility by Tata Motors.
Tata Magic EV: Battery And Powertrain
Tata has given 14-20kWh of Battery pack in Magic EV, battery pack has a IP 67 water rating with advanced battery cooling system and dust proof parts. With this battery pack, EV is able to produce Power output of around 90-115 Nm. Like most EVs, it also got a single speed gear box paired with semi-elliptical leaf spring suspension at the front and rear.

The Magic supports standard, home, and Fast charging, it will take 6 – 6.5 hours to charge from standard charger and about 1.1 – 1.7 hours from Fast charger.
The interior gets several features including a 7 inch TFT infotainment system, voice assist and reverse camera.
The EV is under sub-4 meters and still it can carry 11 people, if we include the driver. The dimensions of the EV are as follows, 3,790mm length and 1,500mm width, with the 2,100mm wheelbase and 160mm ground clearance, the laden and unladen Height is 1,890mm and 1,870mm respectively.
Tata Motor has not announced the pricing details yet while the launch is expected around the end of this year, 2023.
