Just a couple of days ago, Citroen’s Electric Car eC3 was spotted at various locations in India during its testing. but now Citroen officially announced the eC3 electric car and revealed the details about it, at Auto Expo 2023. The EV is based on its Sister car C3 which is an ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicle. However, the price has not been announced so far.
Official booking will start from this month, January 2023. The EV will start arriving at the showroom from February 2023, while the launch is expected to be around march 2023. Citroen will also export the EV from India.
Citroen EC3: Changes In Exterior And Interior
The EV looks identical to Regular C3, Exterior got some minor changes like the Charging post on front fender and the lack of tailpipe, except these whole Exterior remains the same as we got in C3. However, this is not the case with Interior, it has some noticeable changes like the Revised center console and gear controller instead of gear stick. Remove these mentioned changes and it will become almost impossible to identify between EV and petrol-powered.
Citroen EC3: Powertrain And Battery
Citroen eC3 is Powered by a single Electric motor located at front excel, which produces 57hp of Max power and 143 Nm of Peak Torque. The EV get’s battery pack of 29.9kWh, which provides the ARAI-Certified range of 320km in single charge, you can charge the EV from an onboard 3.3 kW AC charger, and also supports fast charging.
The eC3 can sprint 0-60kmph in 6.9 Seconds and can go up to a top speed of 107kmph. With home charge it will take around 10.5 hours to charge from 10-100 percent, However, there’s an option of DC fast charging, which can charge the EV 10-80 percent in just 57 minutes. That can save some serious amount of time.
Citroen EC3: Features And Safety
Citroen offered Two variants in eC3 – Live and Feel. in higher variant we get to see 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, for music system it got 4 speakers, height adjustable driver seat, Vehicle tracking, driving behavior analysis, auto crash notification, emergency service call, my Citroen connect app and 35 other connected car features. and for their safety, eC3 offers dual airbags and ABS with EBD.
Citroen EC3: Color Options And Accessories
The Citroen eC3 offers 13 color options for the Exterior, in which 3 of them are new colors, 6 existing colors and 4 monotone colors. it will come with 3 packs for combination, We got 2 color schemes for interior, and 70 various accessories.
Citroen EC3: Warranty Offers
Citroen offers 3 years / 1,25,000 km warranty on EV itself, 5 year / 1,00,000 km warranty on the Electric Motor and 7 year / 1,40,000 km warranty on the Battery Pack.
