Volkswagen’s new electric car to be revealed on January 4, 2023

Volkswagen announced that they are going to reveal a new electric car on January 4, 2023 at Consumer Electronic Show (CES) Las Vegas. The German Auto giant hasn’t revealed any details about the car but it could be the close-to-production version of the upcoming Volkswagen ID.Aero or ID.0.7 as well. The brand is set to announce the sedan’s official name along with the camouflage version of the EV.

The EV will be based on Volkswagen group’s MEB platform which is designed for mainstream EVs. Volkswagen had previously unveiled the ID.Aero in June 2022. Volkwagen ID.Aero will be the next global product for countries like Europe, China and the United States.

The Car will be equipped with an 88 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which is likely to have a WLTP claimed driving range of 620 km in single charge. Due to its aerodynamic design, Volkswagen claims that its drag coefficient is as low as 0.23.

VW is pushing its electric car range a lot, The brand aims to grab a large chunk in the EV segment with its broad range of electric vehicles. and the ID-models play an important role in this.

VW has more EVs on the way, The United States will get a ID.Buzz minivan next year. We may also get to see the wagon version of the EV sedan.
