Tata Tiago EV is one of the best EV launches of the year 2022, but the 2023 Title might go to Citroen eC3. Both EVs are based on their ICE sisters and none of them are Ground build. Tiago EV comes with a starting price tag of 8.89 Lakh, and Citroen eC3 is also expected to launch around the same price range. Being in the same segment, same body types and both the EVs will compete in the same price segment, it’s serious competition.

While the exterior of Tata Tiago EV gets some Elements that screams EV, like the blue stripes across the vehicle. However, Since the company has not released any official pictures, we cannot tell what the exterior of the Citroën will be like. As far as looking at the spied images, it seems that there will be a charging port at the front of the car.

Not much change will be seen in the interior of C3, The entire interior remains almost the same except for the revised gear knob in the center console. The eC3 will continue to get the same 10-inch touch screen display with Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Tata Tiago also gets features like 7-inch infotainment screen, Connected car tech, Auto-Headlamp, Rain-sensing wipers along with multi driving modes.

The Citroen eC3 is Expected to get a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and will offer a driving range of up to 300-350 km in single charge with the help of a single electric motor that is likely to produce 85 bhp and 150 Nm of Max Torque. Where on other hand, Tata Tiago offers two battery pack options, the smaller one with 19.2 kWh capacity and the Larger one with 24 kWh, simultaneously offer ARAI claimed range of 250 km and 315km in single charge.

The top model of Tiago EV with Larger battery pack will cost you around 11.7 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). The Citroen eC3 is Expected to launch with a starting price of 10-12 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). It’s not unusual that an electric car in the same segment is a bit expensive in comparison to an internal combustion car.
